Various Causes of Pain!

It is common for us to have pain in our bodies for chemical reasons.  When I say chemical reasons I mean, it is a toxin or poison causing your pain as opposed to your having injured the tissue by falling or other physical injury.  Some years ago, my knees were bothering me. They hurt and in my job, I was standing all day. My thoughts were, “I’m getting older,” and “I should lose weight,” and “I have had twenty car accidents.” Those contributing factors made intellectual sense. But just because it makes sense, it doesn’t mean it is right. I came to my senses and decided to test myself! I found that I had an issue with mercury related to my knees. I took a supplement to pull mercury, and just as quickly as the knees hurt, the hurting went away. Sometimes it isn’t the joint that is causing the pain.  You have heard how important it is to take supplements for inflammation. My idea is to get rid of the inflammation instead of taking something to calm it.   That is what I did by taking a supplement to pull mercury from the tissues and I was, again, pain free!

Selecting a Supplement

When I walk into a health food store and see the rows and rows of supplements, I often wonder why people know what to choose for themselves. It isn’t easy. That is why I like using muscle testing. No system is 100% effective, but some system is better than no system. Even with a particular nutrient, our body prefers one brand or one product instead of another brand or product. It would be easy if one particular brand always tested well, but it doesn’t. So what does this particular patient like? That is where having some way to determine what is helpful is good. About twice a year, I teach a muscle testing class. If you are interested in learning how to muscles test, email me or call and ask me to put your name on my list for the next class.

Toxicity!

You may have heard the term “toxicity” thrown around but do you really know what it means when referenced to the body? We know if a relationship is toxic, it means it isn’t good for us. The same is true for the body. If what you take in from food, air or even negative thoughts are not good for you, they are toxic to you. When we are sick or achy, it is often because our tissues are filled with toxins. Maybe you have bacteria, but what makes you feel so bad is the toxic load that bacteria has given you. Even bacteria have waste products and guess who is getting to deal with the toxins: you!  In my nutritional approach I strive to rid the body of organisms: bacteria, virus, parasites and fungus. And let’s not forget the heavy metals too. And as my patients can attest, when you are clean from these on the inside, you feel pretty good inside and out! Please leave a message about your experience relieving your body of toxicity!

The Change of Seasons

Fall has arrived! We change with the change of seasons. We dress differently, we eat differently and we play differently. Fall will bring warmer foods: think soup, longer sleeves and sweaters, and yes, football. Personally I love the change of seasons and I particularly like fall. After a hot summer, the cooler weather is welcome. Our bodies have to change to accommodate the new season too. As soon as school starts, schedules change and children start getting sore throats and colds. It is already beginning! Get to bed earlier and take the detox bath (1/3 cup Epsom salt or sea salt, 1/3 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 8 cups of chamomile tea using 2 tea bags). And if that isn’t enough, come and see me!  Changing seasons isn’t easy on the body!
