I have patients come in my office and request a “cleanse.” There are all kinds of “cleanses” out there. I suggest to patients to eat well and simply for a week or two. That means, eat steamed or raw organic vegetables, organic fruits, and drink pure water for two weeks without adding anything else. You will have fiber from the vegetables that will scrub your intestines. That is a cleanse!
There is no better cleanse than to rid your body of organisms and their waste products and that is what I help patients do when they come to me for nutritional work.
Just to give you another view, here is a video that talks about how to detoxify chemicals from your body. What chemicals you might ask? The many chemicals that are in our food, in our air, and in our body! You cannot escape them, so limiting them is a good idea.
