Who Gets Respect?

Rodney Dangerfield always said, “I don’t get no respect.”  He could have been talking about vitamin C.  Why should it get respect?

*supports weight control

*decreases fatigue

*decreases brain fog

*decreases risk for disease

*sharper cognitive function

*lower HbA1C

This article says, “poor brain function is directly linked to low vitamin C levels.” They checked blood levels and having levels below 23 micromoles per liter (moderate deficiency) caused the odds to double for mild cognitive impairment!  This may be why so many of my patients just feel better when they take Camu.

Dropped Metatarsals

Do you have a dropped metatarsal?  You would know because your foot would hurt.  Normally it hurts on the bottom of your foot.  This issue is a bigger issue for woman than men and I think that is because of high heels, which put the foot in an unnatural position.  The metatarsal is the bone that attaches to the toes.  The bone is long and thin.  When the bottom of the foot hurts, in the ball of the foot, it is often a dropped metatarsal.

If you have this condition someway regularly, you might want to go to Rite Aid or Walgreens or a good quality shoe store and see if they have a metatarsal pad that will help. You put it under you’re the ball of your foot and it supports the metatarsal.  That is certainly a lot better than having pain.  They are inexpensive and can really be helpful.  Try one if you need it!

Avoiding Cancer!

I doubt there is any adult who hasn’t been touched by cancer.  Perhaps a grandparent or an aunt or an uncle has had the diagnosis.  Who doesn’t know someone who has had cancer? We live in a world in which cancer thrives.  Our food has problems.  Our environment has problems.  But that isn’t what I want to talk to you about today.

If a cancer diagnosis arrives, what do you do?  Of course, it is always better to avoid a cancer diagnosis, but how?  I am giving you a link today to The Truth About Cancer docu-series.  Their mission is to educate, expose and eradicate cancer once and for all.  I’ve previously seen it and I’m sure there is new information. You can watch a segment each day or you can buy it and watch it at your leisure.

If you don’t have cancer and want to avoid it, you can learn a best approach by watching the series.  If you have cancer and want information on a holistic approach, then listen and learn.  You will be given much information.  No one uses all of it.  You can pick and choose what works for you.  Knowledge is power!

Blanket Time

My patients are the best! Sometimes they tell me about a product that they love, and I want to share it with others.  Have you heard about the weighted blankets?  I know they are often used on pets and on babies, but hey, adults are using them too.  Why would you want to use one?  Here are some of the symptoms that the blankets claim to help:   anxiety, panic attacks, stress and tension, insomnia, hot flashes, PTSD, restless leg syndrome, symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, ADD, ADHD, autism, any sensory disorder.

I don’t know how much they would help.  I know my patient said it has helped her hot flashes.  And if you have ever had a hot flash, you would grab that weighted blanket in a hot minute.  It seems so counter-intuitive that you would use a blanket when you have a hot flash, but she says it works.  Don’t try to take away her blanket!

I have a gold standard way of assessing whether I think something is worth trying.  If you don’t have to swallow it (you know I’m very particular in that regard), and it won’t hurt you, why not try it.  A blanket won’t hurt you.  And if it has the possibility of helping, that is fabulous.  I’ll let you in on a secret:  my patient ordered her blanket from weightingcomforts.com.  I have no connection with the company, but if you have any of the symptoms above, and try it, please let me know how you like it!

Natural Solutions

Have you noticed how docuseries are becoming popular?  If you want to learn about how to deal with autoimmune issues, naturally, there is a docuseries explaining your options.  Recently there was a docuseries about curing and preventing Alzheimer’s. And don’t forget The Truth about Cancer, The Truth about Vaccines, Vaccines Revealed and on and on it goes. You can learn a great deal on the computer and there is no greater motivation than your own body not feeling well.

No matter which one I listen to, I have been glad I practice the way I do:  eliminating the body of bacteria, virus, parasites, fungus and heavy metals and food sensitivities.  They are the culprits in your health problems.  They might not be the whole problem, but they make a tremendous difference.  I just listened to a lady who was diagnosed with MS say 70% of her symptoms disappeared when she quit eating dairy.  In our complicated health care industry, that was such a simple solution.  There isn’t a drug that eliminates 70% of the symptoms. Solutions aren’t always complex!

Welcome Change!

In Colorado, we are fortunate to have a change of seasons.  I like seeing the trees sprout their leaves in the spring, become full in the summer, turn their leaves in the fall and lose their leaves before winter sets in.  In Denver, the trees are barren in the winter.  And then, when spring peaks through, the green reappears.

I find the cycle of nature to be soothing.  Even when I dread seeing summer go, I also like the crispness of fall.  Fall represents letting go of the past, so we can receive the future.  The organs that are highlighted in the fall are lungs and large intestine.  Large intestine escorts our waste products out of the body while the lungs inhale new products for the body to use.

Fall is the time of year that large intestine and lungs energy will present itself for healing.  Fall is when people often have problems with asthma, colds and flu’s which are lung related.  Large intestine complications can be flare ups with bowel problems.

Children are back in school and we are clearly looking at fall.  Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year are around the corner.  Throw a fall break in there, if you have children in school, and you have your calendar for the rest of the year.

But right now, we are enjoying the bountiful summer harvest.  Going to a farmer’s market will heighten your senses.  Enjoy the fresh produce because winter isn’t far behind. My Granny always “put up” vegetables and fruits by canning and freezing.  I hope these arts aren’t lost in our progressive world.

When we can or freeze, we know exactly what it in the product.  When we buy it, we don’t know exactly what is in the product. Because our health depends on our food, if you are so inclined, I think you are awesome if you can or freeze even a small portion of your food.  In the winter when you take a cobbler out of the freezer that you made this time of year, it is far better than any you can buy!  And probably more nutritious.

Whether you freeze or can or don’t do either, enjoy this time of year with our bountiful harvests.  My favorites are the peaches this time of year.  What fruits or vegetables available now are your favorite?

Best Video of the Year

Don’t you love this day and age of great videos?  I do. Sometimes I will listen to a video while I’m cooking dinner or doing my hair.  It is a great way to get information that someone else has assimilated. This video is a must share with my patients and friends.  In one single video, you get the basics of natural medicine, how the body was meant to deal with issues that come up, like infection.   He talks about healing asthma.  He talks about healing cancer.  The original research regarding polio might be what you find the most interesting.  You let me know what part you like the most.

To me, so far this year, this is the video of the YEAR!  If everyone listened to and understood the information in this video, it would give me so much hope for the health of the people of our country.

This is such a great video that, no doubt, I will buy his book.   But whether I get the book read or not, this video is fabulous and I am grateful for it.

Mercury in the Teeth

In our struggle for health, one major concern is the mouth, specifically the teeth.  Mercury is a neurotoxin.  Do you really want that in your mouth?  There are many other options these days.  Other countries have mercury free dentistry, but we don’t. Holistic pratitioners are struggling to get mercury out of our mouths.  At least don’t put any more mercury in your mouth.  Alternatives are available.  Use them.

But please, don’t take my word for it.  Go to youtube  and see for yourself what the mercury looks like coming off the teeth.  You continue breathing while you are getting your teeth worked on.  You breathe that gas.

You are bombarded with chemicals on a daily basis.  Many you cannot avoid, but this one you can.  To better understand mercury-free dentistry and the difference it is making around the world, go to the article on Dr. Mercola’s site.
