Is Family Trauma Inherited?

I get excited when I run across the next book I love.  Usually, I know immediately when I see a book if I want to read it.  This book is about how family trauma is in inherited.  You will love his case studies because they put you into the flow of what he is talking about.  As I have often said, if a person doesn’t do their own emotional work, they leave it for their children to do.  However, his take is a little different.  It isn’t that the people didn’t do their emotional work, it might be more about their death.  For instance, there were a couple of case studies about the grandchildren of people who were in concentration camps and died there.  And, one about a man who was on a hike in the wilderness, lost his way and froze to death.  How did those circumstances haunt their descendants who had never even met them?  I found the book interesting.  I had never heard of the author, Mark Wolynn, but he is on my radar now. You know me, I’d love to take his workshop!  Click here to see the book.

The Truth About Cancer!

Ty Bollinger has done a terrific job organizing and launching the series, The Truth About Cancer.  You can watch it for free on your computer, but you must sign up for it.  Here is the link:

The Ultimate Live Symposium October 14th-16th

Each part of the series is on for only 24 hours, so be sure to watch as it unfolds.  You can, as I have, buy the series at the end if you can’t catch each episode.  I find the information so valuable.  It isn’t only for you but the others in your life who you love.  Pass the link around.  And, don’t think you have to have cancer to benefit from the series as there are many tidbits of information that you will enjoy.  It is really about health!  Feel free to share the link as we should all know the truth about cancer!  Each person has the right to decide for themselves and we can’t really decide unless we have the information!   ENJOY!

Pain and Emotions!

A patient was in my office with terrible back pain. I adjusted her. I worked her muscles. I did reflex points. I used my laser. I really needed to get her out of pain because she had an event to attend. But nothing I did seemed to help. And then I thought, maybe I should check for something emotional. I found, through using NET, there was an emotional element related to her back pain. I cleared it, she stood up and the pain was all gone. Sometimes our pain isn’t caused or relieved by what our mind thinks.   Dr. Candace Pert, who wrote The Molecules of Emotion, once said that when she started researching emotions, she thought emotions were just in the brain. It wasn’t long into her research until she realized, emotions are all over the body, not just in the brain.  We know many people have silent disc problems.  They aren’t causing the pain.  Be certain your pain isn’t from emotions before you take drastic measures.  Even butterflies in the tummy or blushing are caused from emotions.  Leave a comment about your experience with pain and emotions!

Various Causes of Pain!

It is common for us to have pain in our bodies for chemical reasons.  When I say chemical reasons I mean, it is a toxin or poison causing your pain as opposed to your having injured the tissue by falling or other physical injury.  Some years ago, my knees were bothering me. They hurt and in my job, I was standing all day. My thoughts were, “I’m getting older,” and “I should lose weight,” and “I have had twenty car accidents.” Those contributing factors made intellectual sense. But just because it makes sense, it doesn’t mean it is right. I came to my senses and decided to test myself! I found that I had an issue with mercury related to my knees. I took a supplement to pull mercury, and just as quickly as the knees hurt, the hurting went away. Sometimes it isn’t the joint that is causing the pain.  You have heard how important it is to take supplements for inflammation. My idea is to get rid of the inflammation instead of taking something to calm it.   That is what I did by taking a supplement to pull mercury from the tissues and I was, again, pain free!

Selecting a Supplement

When I walk into a health food store and see the rows and rows of supplements, I often wonder why people know what to choose for themselves. It isn’t easy. That is why I like using muscle testing. No system is 100% effective, but some system is better than no system. Even with a particular nutrient, our body prefers one brand or one product instead of another brand or product. It would be easy if one particular brand always tested well, but it doesn’t. So what does this particular patient like? That is where having some way to determine what is helpful is good. About twice a year, I teach a muscle testing class. If you are interested in learning how to muscles test, email me or call and ask me to put your name on my list for the next class.

Toxicity!

You may have heard the term “toxicity” thrown around but do you really know what it means when referenced to the body? We know if a relationship is toxic, it means it isn’t good for us. The same is true for the body. If what you take in from food, air or even negative thoughts are not good for you, they are toxic to you. When we are sick or achy, it is often because our tissues are filled with toxins. Maybe you have bacteria, but what makes you feel so bad is the toxic load that bacteria has given you. Even bacteria have waste products and guess who is getting to deal with the toxins: you!  In my nutritional approach I strive to rid the body of organisms: bacteria, virus, parasites and fungus. And let’s not forget the heavy metals too. And as my patients can attest, when you are clean from these on the inside, you feel pretty good inside and out! Please leave a message about your experience relieving your body of toxicity!

The Change of Seasons

Fall has arrived! We change with the change of seasons. We dress differently, we eat differently and we play differently. Fall will bring warmer foods: think soup, longer sleeves and sweaters, and yes, football. Personally I love the change of seasons and I particularly like fall. After a hot summer, the cooler weather is welcome. Our bodies have to change to accommodate the new season too. As soon as school starts, schedules change and children start getting sore throats and colds. It is already beginning! Get to bed earlier and take the detox bath (1/3 cup Epsom salt or sea salt, 1/3 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 8 cups of chamomile tea using 2 tea bags). And if that isn’t enough, come and see me!  Changing seasons isn’t easy on the body!

Radiation Questions

If you have been reading my Health Tips for awhile, I have suggested the site, The Truth About Cancer.  Ty Bollinger is doing remarkable work.   He is passionate about helping people have access to up to date information about healing from cancer naturally, because he lost his parents early from cancer.   So often with a cancer diagnosis, a person is in shock and might not  think of the right questions to ask their doctors.  With that diagnosis a person is taken down a certain path and led through the process.  Most people feel completely overwhelmed!  I just read a list of questions in an email from The Truth About Cancer with the 10 questions to ask your doctor before accepting radiation as a treatment.  It is always wise to have the best information so you can make the right decision for you.  I’ve heard so many times, “I wish I had of known,” in relationship to many health problems.  Here you can read the 10 questions to ask your doctor about radiation.

Death…

Life has some hard lessons and some of them come through death. Until it is our time, we will be the ones mourning the passing of those close to us. It is easier to give up an older person because they have had a full life. When I was much younger, I knew the death of my Grandmother was in my future and I had a very difficult time considering giving her up. I read Elizabeth Kubler-Ross’s books, which were written some time ago, but are still very meaningful. If you have struggled with a loss or if you know one is in the near future and you haven’t emotionally prepared for their death, please refer to her books. I found them so helpful and healing! Life and death is all about love!

Bearing the Weight!

Isn’t it a mystery? We have this big body and it all sits on these little feet and ankles! No one has ever thought my feet are little, but in comparison with my body, they are little. Our feet and ankles get the brunt of our weight and how we move. Let’s be good to our feet and ankles. I suggest a good foot rub every once in awhile! It really makes my feet feel better. I also suggest ordering a pair of socks from www.tommiecopper.com. If you like them, order more. They have compression socks and ankle support. In fact, they have supports for all of the body. I like them. If you need support, see if you like them too.
